Londoners have been told to avoid the area while the emergency response is underway.
A major fire in London has involved 70 firefighters and a major emergency response has been launched. Authorities were first contacted about the fire just after 8.20 pm and have since received more than a dozen calls.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, the London Fire Brigade said.
Ten fire engines and about 70 firefighters were called to the fire at a warehouse on Crabtree Mannerway South in Belvedere, a company spokesperson said in a statement.
Half of the two-story industrial warehouse caught fire.
He said control officers from the 999th have received 13 calls of fire.
The brigade was called at 8.23 pm.
“Fire crews from Plumstead, Erith, Bexley and nearby fire stations are at the scene.
The LFB's official Twitter page also urged locals to "please avoid the area while we make the scene safe."
A 100-foot turntable was later sent to assist crews, UKNIP said.
